Nelson's milk snakes are as hardy and easy to keep as corn snakes. Their care is identical to that of corn snakes. They are great for beginners because of their simple care and maintenance, good feeding habits, and gentle dispositions. Even baby Nelson's are tame and easily handleable (unlike most baby Honduran and Pueblan milk snakes). The albino morph as well as aberrant patterned individuals have added exciting new twists for keepers and breeders of these snakes.

Female Albino Nelson's Milk 2 Nelson's Milk Snake
Lampropeltis triangulum nelsoni
This my adult female breeder albino Nelson's milksnake. Her bands are reversed, the white ones should be yellow and the yellow ones should be white. This color reversal occurs as the snake ages and does not appear this way when the reptile is a hatchling.

Female Nelson's Milk Nelson's Milk Snake
Lampropeltis triangulum nelsoni
This is a normal female Nelson's milksnake. She was purchased from Bob Applegate. I breed her to my albino males to make 100% hets for albino.

Odd Nelsons Oddball
Lampropeltis triangulum nelsoni
There are several crazy-looking patterns of these snakes being developed. This one, which I hatched in 2005, has an unusually patterned head.
