These two Garters - a Coast and an Aquatic intergrade were the first snakes caught that day.

These snakes are thought to be a three-way intergrade between Santa Cruz, Oregon and Diablo Range Garter Snakes. We dug the wide yellow stripe on the army green background.

Later on we went looking for Western Pond Turtles, but all we found were Red-ear Sliders.
