I envisioned finding my third lifer in three days on Wednesday. To do so, I travelled south for about an hour, until I got to a hilly place.

 

Wednesday - In Search of the Foothill Yellow-legged Frog

I hiked for a few miles through hilly terrain.
Tarantula Hawk

Along the way I saw this Tarantula Hawk.
Turkey Vulture Vulture Culture
And this Turkey Vulture.
Whiptail Quick Lizard
There were reptiles out too, like this Western Whiptail.
Creek Mountain Creek
This looked like a pretty good place to seek my frog.
Foothill Yellow-legged Frog Foothill Frog
This frog has disappeared from up to 45 percent of its range in California.
