SUNDAY
On Sunday the temperatures were cooler and in the mid-sixties. I returned to snake road to see what else could be found.
American Toad.
The Cricket Frogs in the area are mostly a uniform drab brown, though some have a bit of pattern.
And others have a bit of both pattern and color.
Nest O' Paper Wasps.
Young Western Ribbon Snake hanging out in the bluffs.
This young Western Cottonmouth was hanging out in the bluffs too.
There was a surprising large array of fuzzy caterpillar sizes, shapes and colors. This was one of my favorites.
Mississippi Green Water Snake.
Spiderwort.
Central Newt.
Copperhead.
Another shot of the same snake.
Dragonflies were a common sight.
This is my fourth year visiting Snake Road and this is my first-ever Brown Snake found in the area.
